Heidi was born in London and began singing at the age of 15. In 1995 she won the ‘Yamaha National Youth Rock and Pop Award’ which was judged by Phil Collins and Virgin. Since then, she has been singing jazz, soul, latin and funk, and has made appearances on several recordings as well as singing backing vocals on many other tracks and for artists including Eska Mtungwazi, the Brand New Heavies and Isaac Hayes. In addition to this she also performed at the premiere for the film ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’. Her repertoire also has a large number of Latin songs.

Heidi is currently performing with Hilaire Penda as lead vocalist on his project of original music(afro jazz) having already performed with him at Momo`s, Vibe Bar and Ascott Jazz Festival.

Heidi has performed at many prestigous venues. She has also recently worked with Eska Mtungwazi performing backing vocals at I.G cultures New Sector Movements live sessions for Gilles Peterson`s radio 1 show.
